Alex Alvaro, Juanjo de la Llera, and Florian Graskamp were three of the five Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team members who competed at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional tournament.

Scholar Athlete: Emilie Simmons

Emilie Simmons

International Business major Emilie Simmons is a member of the Eastern Kentucky University women’s golf team that placed third at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate. This is the third time this year that the women’s golf team has taken third place. Simmons is a freshman at EKU and a native of Marseille, France.

Scholar Athlete: Shelly Harper

Lady Colonels helped out a good cause at the Richmond Centre

Human Resource Management major Shelly Harper is a member of the Eastern Kentucky University women’s basketball team who volunteered at Tracks for Packs 5k Run/Walk. Harper’s biggest accomplishment was scoring a season high eight points in the OVC tournament quarterfinals during her freshman season at EKU. Harper is a sophomore at Eastern and a native of Cincinnati, Oh.

Harpster wins 2012-13 Elbert Player of the Year Award

Eastern Kentucky University’s PGA Golf Management program is pleased to announce the 2012–13 recipient of the Dr. Norb Elbert Player of the Year Award is Mikal Harpster, a junior from Warrenton, Mo. Harpster was recognized at the annual PGA/GM spring awards event on April 18.
