Nicki Henry and Emilie Simmons

Two EKU School of Business golfers have been named All-American Scholars. Senior Nicki Henry, from Chagrin Falls, Oh., and junior Emilie Simmons, from Marseille, France, were among the four EKU golfers selected as Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars.

More than 1,600 of America’s best and brightest college students traveled to the Windy City to Step Up to the Challenge as they showcased their talents as future business leaders and vied for the opportunity to win more than $81,000 in cash awards.

Scholar Athlete: Carina Schrempf

EKU freshman Carina Schrempf will earn second team All-America honors for her performance at the Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday night at historic Hayward Field. Schrempf, from Styria, Austria, is a double major in Human Resource Management and Marketing.

Scholar Athlete: Patric Sundlof

Patric Sundlof

General Business senior Patric Sundlof was chosen to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division I PING All-Midwest Region team. A total of 155 players across six regions earned all-region recognition for 2015.

Belfry High School students received a special surprise when EKU Executive in Residence Kirby Easterling arrived with gifts in hand. He presented 12 of the students from Pike County with scholarships to study at Eastern Kentucky University.

Senior midfielder and management major Dani Cant played in 16 games last fall. She starred in Eastern's record-breaking win over Alabama A&M, becoming one of only six Colonels ever to score two goals in a single game.

Faculty and students from the Department of Management, Marketing and International Business worked together to produce a wonderful experience for the high school students at the recent EKU STEM-H Expo.

Forty students and six faculty members participated in the Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) Business Cases, Workplace Communication, and Leadership Professional Development Workshop May 1 & 2.  Dr. Beth Polin, Assistant Professor of Management and SAM Advisor, provided the vision and leadership for the two-day event.
