PBL Brings Home State Awards, Titles
Two students from EKU’s Phi Beta Lambda chapter attended the Kentucky PBL Spring Leadership Conference on March 30-31, 2012.
Kelsey Hawkins (human resource management major from Frankfort, Ky.) was elected as Vice President for Kentucky Phi Beta Lambda and will join the State Officer Team at our National Leadership Conference this summer.
Marla Workman (managerial finance major from Berea, Ky.) and Kelsey Hawkins both placed in state-level competitive testing events. Marla won First Place in Macroeconomics and Second place in International Business. Kelsey won Third Place in International Business. These wins qualify them for testing at the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio June 24-27, 2012.
Chapter advisor, Dr. Allyn White said, "I'm just so proud of them." PBL students are coordinating fundraising efforts across campus and in the surrounding community to help with travel and lodging expenses so that they may attend the National Conference.
