MMIB selects Will McIntosh as 2013 distinguished alum

EKU's Department of Management, Marketing and International Business, along with the School of Business, is pleased to announce that Dr. Will McIntosh has been selected as their departmental distinguished alum for 2013.

Dr. McIntosh was honored during a presentation on Friday, April 5, 2013, at the annual College of Business and Technology College to Careers senior recognition luncheon.

The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.

Dr. McIntosh earned his Bachelors in Business Education from EKU in 1977. He also holds an MBA as well as a PhD in Finance and Real Estate. 

Dr. McIntosh is currently the Global Head of Research with USAA Real Estate Company in San Antonio, Texas, where he is responsible for developing commercial real estate investment strategy and managing in-house global research. He possesses extensive financial executive experience in global investment management, serving most recently as head of global research for the real estate department of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

During his 20-plus years in the investment management industry, Dr. McIntosh served as managing director for ING Real Estate Investment Management, AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp. and Prudential Global Asset Management Group. He has held several academic posts, most recently dean of the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business. He was inducted into the EKU Hall of Distinguished Alumni in 2003.

Congratulations Dr. McIntosh on being selected as the 2013 Distinguished Alum representing the Department of Management, Marketing and International Business.

The college also honored distinguished seniors for the year as selected by their respective departments within the College of Business and Technology. Ms. Rebekah McGee, a human resource management major from Mount Vernon, Ky., was selected as the MMIB departmental distinguished senior. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2012-13 academic year were recognized. Students were honored for outstanding achievement and more than 40 area employers were on hand to engage in networking activities with college graduating seniors.
