MMIB Announces 2013-14 Outstanding Seniors
The Department of Management, Marketing and International Business is pleased to announce Outstanding Seniors for the 2013-14 academic year. The recognition is awarded to students possessing superior academic achievement, excellent leadership, citizenship, character, and service to EKU. Students are nominated and voted upon by department faculty.
Award recipients are:
- Business and Marketing Education Outstanding Senior: Logan Bicknell from Richmond, Ky. Logan will be providing service as a 5-12 teacher.
- General Business Outstanding Senior: Joanna Webb from Richmond, Ky. Joanna (International Business Option) is seeking the dual degree at AVANS Hogeschool in The Netherlands. Upon completion of her program, she will earn dual degrees from EKU and AVANS.
- Management Outstanding Senior: Ian Hopkins from Frankfort, Ky. Ian studied as a Magellan student in Valencia, Spain, and has had his honors program thesis selected for national presentation out of 4,000 submissions.
- Marketing Outstanding Senior: Phillip Cooper from Danville, Ky. Phillip is a Music Marketing major who has plans for graduate school.
According to department chair Dr. Lana Carnes, "MMIB faculty and staff are very pleased and proud of this well-deserved significant accomplishment in each of the student's academic careers."
Formal recognition will take place during the BTS 400 College-to-Careers Seminar scheduled for April 4 from 8 am to noon in the EKU Center for the Performing Arts.
