MMAC selects Rodney Ratliff as 2002 distinguished alum
EKU's Department of Management, Marketing and Administrative Communication is pleased to announce that Mr. Rodney R. Ratliff has been selected as their departmental distinguished alum for 2002.
Mr. Ratliff was honored during a presentation on Friday, March 29, 2002, at the annual College of Business and Technology Professional Skills Conference senior recognition luncheon.
The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.
Rodney R. Ratliff has been an active promoter of the benefits of recycling. The founder of Frankfort Scrap Metal and, later, Lexington Scrap Metal and Lexington Recycling, he has served as a director for Kentucky Recycling Brokerage Authority and the Kentucky Economic Development Board. He is a past member of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents, a past director of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and of the EKU Foundation. A member of the EKU Hall of Distinguished Alumni, he earned a bachelor's degree in business at Eastern.
The college also honored distinguished seniors for the year as selected by their respective departments within the College of Business and Technology. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2001-02 academic year were recognized. Students were honored for outstanding achievement and more than 40 area employers were on hand to engage in networking activities with college graduating seniors.
