MMAC selects Martin Cobb as 2006 distinguished alum

EKU's Department of Management, Marketing and Administrative Communication is pleased to announce that Mr. Martin Cobb has been selected as their departmental distinguished alum for 2006.

Mr. Cobb was honored during a presentation on Friday, April 7, 2006, at the annual College of Business and Technology Professional Skills Conference senior recognition luncheon.

The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.

Kentucky native, L. Martin Cobb, graduated from EKU in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Upon graduation he became a member services consultant for the National Interfraternity Conference working with local IFCs, Greek advisors, chapters and university administration.

He later joined the Beta Foundation staff visiting more than 100 campuses across North America. Mr. Cobb has served as director of Men of Principle and the Fraternity’s expansion program. His primary role was development and implementation of the Men of Principle initiative which has earned multiple international and interfraternal recognitions for refocusing fraternity life among Beta chapters across North America.

Since May 2001, he has served as Associate Director of the Beta Theta Pi Foundation. Cobb’s service to EKU includes appointment to the executive council of the EKU National Alumni Association in 2001.

The college also honored distinguished seniors for the year as selected by their respective departments within the College of Business and Technology. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2005-06 academic year were recognized. Students were honored for outstanding achievement and more than 40 area employers were on hand to engage in networking activities with college graduating seniors.
