Mr. White was honored during a presentation on Friday, April 6, 2007, at the annual College of Business and Technology Professional Skills Conference senior recognition luncheon.

The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.

Mr. White is the President and Chief Executive Officer of 1st Independence Financial Group, Inc. and the President and CEO of 1st Independence Bank in Louisville, Kentucky.  Prior to assuming his current positions, Mr. White was the Founder, President and CEO of Independence Bancorp and the President and CEO of Independence Bank in New Albany, Indiana. Mr. White is a certified Professional Selling Skills facilitator.  He was the College of Business and Technology Distinguished Speaker last fall and also serves on the EKUBusiness Advisory Council. He is also a member of the EKU Hall of Distinguished Alumni.

Congratulations, Mr. White, on being selected as the 2007 Distinguished Alumnus representing the Department of Management, Marketing, and Administrative Communication.
