Corporate Operations Manager Brings Personal Perspective to Classroom
Gretchen Gruenberg, Corporate Operations Manager, ​Big Ass Fans, provided a first-hand, authentic perspective to EKU juniors and seniors about the daily operation, culture, and competitive strategy of Kentucky's own Big Ass Fans. Gruenberg visited a Management Operations class in the School of Business on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. She shared her personal insights and reflections for students pursuing a career in the 21st century business environment. Next month, students who attended her presentation will be welcomed by the Global Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Big Ass Fans for a Lexington facility tour.
Gruenberg is the Corporate Operations Manager at Big Ass Fans. She has held various roles such as sales operations management, process management, and fan & lighting sales since she began working with the company in 2012. She is a 2012 graduate from the University of Kentucky with a dual-degree in Integrated Strategic Communications and Corporate Communications. She regularly volunteers with various non-profit organizations in the Kentucky area. Gruenberg is currently on steering committees for Commerce Lexington Young Professionals, Leadership Lexington Youth and the EMERGE Conference. When she’s not at work or volunteering, she can be found baking, cheering on the wildcats, on a yoga mat, or on a run with her 70lb lap dog and her fiancé.
