Maroon SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) has already been very active in the 2018-2019 academic year.
The Society for Human Resource Management is a professional association that provides education, certification and networking to its members. EKU's "Maroon SHRM" is affiliated with the Bluegrass SHRM chapter and is an EKU Registered Student Organization.
While Maroon SHRM is focused on human resources, all business students are invited to join and take part in meetings and activities. Maroon SHRM hosted it's second meeting on Tuesday, October 2 in BTC 202 with guest speaker Emily Bradley, HR Manager at Gray Construction. Additional meetings have been scheduled for the coming weeks, as well as participation in the EKU Homecoming parade on Friday, October 19.
Faculty advisor, Dr. Allen Engle, stated that one of the goals of Maroon SHRM is to assist business students with the transition from student to professional. HR students, as well as business students of all majors, are encouraged to become active in the RSO.
